NLA stands with Maria Ressa

Rappler Editor Maria Ressa was found guilty by a court in the Philippines of “cyberlibel” charges. News Leaders Association stands with Ressa in what is an affront to press freedoms everywhere.

“Freedom of the press is the foundation of every single right you have as a Filipino citizen. If we can’t hold power to account, we can’t do anything,” Ressa said.
